Igniting Your Desire

20160116_114445Making the decision for a big dream can be a scary endeavor for many people, and yet it is the first exercise the leads us to living a life that we love.

What if we gave ourselves permission to dream outside of our current circumstances and reality?  Where would those thoughts take us?

These are three steps you can take to help begin building a life of your dreams.

Honor your discontent.

Discontentment is an important signal to listen to.  It is a signal from our soul that something bigger is seeking to emerge.  Giving yourself permission to explore these deep desires is key.

Let the dream begin to live in your mind, heart and soul as a true possibility.  Notice your body and emotions.  Do you feel more alive and excited?  An expanded feeling of aliveness and excitement is an important indicator that you are on the right path.

To keep thoughts of your past experiences from limiting your possible futures, practice repeating “Up until now…”

Your history does not determine your destiny.  If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get the results you’ve always gotten.  All these negative experiences and disappointments may have been true in the past but now is the time to shrug them off.  Your history does not determine your destiny.  Listen, then pause…”Up until now…”. Now, in the next moment let your yearnings be heard.

Consciously co-create with the universe, and the impossible becomes possible.

Co-creation means you partner with your higher power to build the greatest life you can live.  When you recognize yourself as a co-creator, you ask for guidance and break through the self-imposed barriers that have stood between yourself and your desires.  Begin each new day thanking  your higher power and concentrating on a desire of yours that you previously believed was out of reach.  Just for that day, act as if what you wanted was possible.  Then see what transforms.

Wishing you your BEST LIFE!
