This is New Year’s Day and people all over the country are feeling inspired to create resolutions for improving their lives and changing old habits. Some typical resolutions include getting in shape, getting fit and healthy, losing weight, becoming more confident, getting organized, reducing stress, improving sleep, watching less tv, giving up cigarettes or alcohol, getting over a broken heart or emotional trauma, learning a foreign language, improving your sports abilities, facing fears and ending procrastination.
Since the majority of people fail to stick to their resolution, you’ll need all the help you can get, and hypnosis is a safe and effective process to help manage your subconscious mind.
The subconscious mind comprises over ninety percent of the brain function, and this is the part of our deeper mind where our habits, beliefs, memories and creativity exists. The conscious mind is much smaller than the subconscious, comprising less than ten percent of our active brain, and this is our analytical mind, the brain’s “willpower” center.
What happens when we try to change old patterns? The 10% conscious/ willpower brain starts us out “being good”, but eventually, sometimes sooner, sometimes later—that 90% subconscious mind pulls us into the same old “bad” behaviors. That’s why these resolutions don’t work in the long term.
Hypnosis is great to help you succeed! Imagine just after a short number of sessions being able to easily stick to a diet and really lose weight or put down the cigarettes for good. All of these and more are possible with hypnosis.
My name is Lori Arveson and I use hypnosis strategies to reprogram the subconscious mind, helping people change their habits and improve their lives.
