Resolutions for Improving Your Life

This is New Year’s Day and people all over the country are feeling inspired to create resolutions for improving their lives and changing old habits. Some typical resolutions include getting in shape, getting fit and healthy, losing weight, becoming more confident, getting organized, reducing stress, improving sleep, watching less tv, giving up cigarettes or alcohol, getting over a broken heart or emotional trauma, learning a foreign language,  improving your sports abilities, facing fears and ending procrastination.

Since the majority of people fail to stick to their resolution, you’ll need all the help you can get, and hypnosis is a safe and effective process to help manage your subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind comprises over ninety percent of the brain function, and this is the part of our deeper mind where our habits, beliefs, memories and creativity exists. The conscious mind is much smaller than the subconscious, comprising less than ten percent of our active brain, and this is our analytical mind, the brain’s “willpower” center.

What happens when we try to change old patterns? The 10% conscious/ willpower brain starts us out  “being good”, but eventually, sometimes sooner, sometimes later—that 90% subconscious mind pulls us into the same old “bad” behaviors. That’s why these resolutions don’t work in the long term.

Hypnosis is great to help you succeed! Imagine just after a short number of sessions being able to easily stick to a diet and really lose weight or put down the cigarettes for good. All of these and more are possible with hypnosis.

My name is Lori Arveson and I use hypnosis strategies to reprogram the subconscious mind, helping people change their habits and improve their lives.

Taking Control Through Hypnosis

Do you find yourself knowing exactly who you want to be or what you want to accomplish, but you can’t seem to make it happen? Consciously you may know what you want, but unfortunately, your subconscious mind is often working against you. To create true change, we must be able to access this subconscious part of the mind.

The Subconscious mind is the equivalent of a hard drive, and it’s where all of your programs are stored. While in this deeply relaxed state we call hypnosis, we focus on changing any negative programming that’s not serving you well, and replace it with ones detailing exactly what you want.

The reason we do this is because, left unchecked, the subconscious mind will keep doing the same thing over and over again until it is retrained. This is why the majority of what you are thinking of today, are the same ideas that you thought of yesterday and the day before that. Hypnosis changes that by giving you the power to access your powerful subconscious mind and input those things that are going to make you happy.

Hypnosis is very self-empowering and hypnosis puts you in control of your emotions and habits. During hypnotherapy, your body relaxes as your mind becomes more aware, and you’re always in complete control throughout the session. You easily wake up from hypnosis, and most people feel refreshed and at peace, and you will remember your session.

All people are hypnotizable. Everybody can be hypnotized if they want to be. Originally, they use to think that a portion of the population couldn’t be hypnotized because they didn’t understand that people take in information differently. Now hypnotherapists understand the importance of fine-tuning their approach, so you can rest assured that if you want to be hypnotized, you can do it, including the most scientific minds.

You’ll find that hypnosis in the form of hypnotherapy is both highly effective and efficient. American Health Magazines compared psychoanalysis, behavioral therapy, and hypnosis, and found that a whopping 93 percent of people recovered after only six hypnosis sessions, while behavioral therapy worked for 72 percent after 22 sessions. Lastly, there was a 38-percent recovery rate for those who underwent 600 sessions of psychoanalysis.

Most people notice improvements after their first session! Remember, hypnosis is a very profound tool. Change can happen in the snap of a finger. Hypnosis is like planting seeds in fertile soil, with the seeds being all of the positive suggestions that we plant during our session. Some seeds will begin to sprout during your first hypnosis session. Others, an hour later. Others, in two or three hours, a week, two weeks, and so on. For example, there are some who will stop smoking in one session. Others in two. A person who has undergone a lot of childhood trauma should come in for at least a few sessions, especially since there are different trauma components that need to be dealt with.

Most clients report feeling progressively better — more positive and optimistic — as they continue letting go of what doesn’t benefit them, replacing it with what they really want in life. By really wanting what you are coming in for and being completely on board with the process., you’ll avoid wasting your mental energy on thoughts that aren’t in line with what you need. Instead, you’ll be focusing on getting the results you want.

My name is Lori Arveson, if you’d like to stop smoking, take control of your weight, build self-confidence, or end addictive behaviors, we can create effective programs for whatever your need may be.

Honored To Be In The Spotlight

Practitioner-Spotlight-Lori-Arveson

How did you find out about the Emotion Code and Body Code?

When training seriously for a half marathon, I was stricken with chronic pain in my left foot and devastated by the fact that I tried everything, but absolutely nothing was working to heal it. A friend told me about The Emotion/Body Code and I immediately found an Emotion/Body Code practitioner. Within 2 months of working with my practitioner, I started training again for the half marathon, which I completed 2 months later, and haven’t had any foot pain since. I was so thrilled and amazed by it, that I did research to find out everything I could about The Emotion/Body Code and decided to become a practitioner myself.

How do you think these healing methods compare to other energy healing modalities?

Combined with my experience as an intuitive healer, this is the ideal platform for me to use effectively with amazing results. The Emotion/Body Code deals with underlying causes and things such as meridian imbalances, pathogens, generational offensive energies, trapped and inherited emotions, and many other conditions that aren’t addressed by systems like Reiki, acupuncture, etc.

What advice would you give to those that are new to either The Emotion Code or Body Code?

Trust! During a session we may go in many different directions and it may seem like a tangent, but the outcome becomes apparent in the end. The proof is in the positive results we have time and time again.

What difference do you see between our healing methods and the westernized medical/drug industry?

It’s hard to make a comparison. Western medicine and pharmaceutical drugs dominate the medical scene, but The Emotion/Body Code taps on energies not commonly reached by Western medicine. Combining the two healing methods gives us a more comprehensive effectiveness. I find that dealing with the energy body, and releasing imbalances and trapped energies imperative to reach beyond Western medicine and tackle many things that plague those around us. The Emotion/Body Code balances the body and enables it to heal itself naturally.

Do you have a healing story that you could tell us about?

I have many stories to tell of beautiful healing experiences. I will share one here that is kind of funny, but this type of thing happens all the time. I was working with a woman who had an issue with her left arm that no other type of healing helped. At the end of our session I had her stand up and walk around. She shrieked with shock and delight and told me that her back no longer hurt. Originally, she had not shared any problems with her back with me so I was a bit surprised. She then told me that she has had a problem with her back for over 20 years and has been to every type of doctor and healer, and no one could help. She never even thought to talk to me about it as she was so accustomed to the pain and didn’t even think about it. Apparently, during our session we released something that put her back into alignment. That was a year ago, and the back pain is still gone. Oh, and her arm issue is resolved also.

If you could tell the world about Dr. Nelson’s method in one sentence, what would that be?

Over and over again, in all varieties of cases, it works!

How do see this work impacting the future of healthcare?

This is absolutely a health care for the future.
Reaching into the energy layers and past trapped emotional landscape has amazing consequences and results. We must take responsibility for our own health care if we want to live quality lives, and this healing modality is wildly effective for reaching these energies.

Hypnosis for Weight Management

I offer a hypnosis-based weight management process that breaks the diet cycle and shifts your brain at the deepest level to end old behavior patterns and build healthy new habits that transform your life.

The main reason we struggle with weight lies in the way the mind is set up.  Your mind is divided into the conscious and the subconscious mind.

The conscious mind is much smaller than the subconscious, comprising less than ten percent of our active brain, and this is our analytical mind, the brain’s “willpower” center. This is the part of our mind that ‘puts us on a diet,’ has us read all the diet cookbooks, signs up for the gym membership, and is ready to fit into skinny jeans.

The subconscious mind comprises over ninety percent of the brain function, and this is the part of our deeper mind where our habits, beliefs, memories and creativity exists.

This massive subconscious is the part of the mind that works hard to keep things going just as they are, and has gotten used to the fattening habits that keep you at your present weight. This is the part of the mind that feels that crunchy, salty, or sugary foods are great for relieving stress, thinks deep down you are a failure, and could care less about your gym membership, your juice fast or skinny jeans.

What happens when we go on a diet? The 10% conscious/ willpower brain starts us out  “being good”, but eventually, sometimes sooner, sometimes later—that 90% subconscious mind pulls us into the same old “bad” behaviors. That’s why diets don’t work in the long term.

Because our habits and behaviors are located in our subconscious mind, this is the part of our mind that we must access to create real, long-lasting changes. This part of our brain runs on automatic. Whenever we are faced with a new situation, our mind — faster than the blink of an eye — goes to this same place to find information (negative and positive behavioral patterns) on how we have reacted to this same or similar situation in the past.

Hypnosis is a relaxed mind technique that allows the resistant-to-change subconscious mind become open to ideas of change. In the state of hypnosis, suggestions can be given to the deeper mind and begin to focus the mind towards new beliefs and habits that are in line with weight release and mastery. With hypnosis, we’re able to harness the power of 100% of the mind to work with us to release weight and keep it off permanently.

My name is Lori Arveson and I use hypnosis strategies to re-program the subconscious mind specializing in weight management and smoking cessation.

The Secret Life of Water

Japanese scientist Dr. Masaru Emoto proved through decades of groundbreaking research that the molecular structure of water can be altered with human thoughts and intention aloneWhen looking under a microscope at pure frozen water, he discovered it forms beautiful ice crystals.

Dr. Emoto’s astounding work has shown that thoughts and words have a direct effect on water-crystal formation, demonstrating how water has a memory and can transmit energy that is positive such as love, or negative such as hate.

Experimenting further, he found that even labeling pure water in vials with positive or negative phrases, the frozen water responded with corresponding positive or negative changes in the crystal formation.

These experiments proved that energy generated by positive or negative words can actually change the physical structure of an object. Water holds the knowledge and experience it acquires. It carries its history and secrets, just as we carry ours. Water is a mirror that has the ability to show us what we cannot see. It acts as a blueprint for our reality, which can change with thought.

While our bodies are comprised of 60% water, we know that we can certainly affect our own body by speaking and thinking positive and loving vibrations. Based on these findings, we begin to realize the impact of our self-talk energy and habits. Can you imagine the benefits positive affirmations and self-talk have on our bodies?
